Tour style: Private Tour. This wonderful trip takes you to the heart of Rudyard Kipling’s ‘The Jungle Book’ country. With 9 game drives included this tour gives you an excellent chance to spot tigers and other wildlife, and it finishes off with visits to some of India’s man-made marvels, such as the Taj Mahal and the Amber Fort.

Day 1 Delhi
Arrive in the capital and transfer to your hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure to explore this vibrant city.
Day 2 Delhi
After breakfast enjoy the contrast between New and Old Delhi with a tour that takes in the best the British left behind in New Delhi and the much more ancient temples and monuments from Indian history.
Day 3 Delhi to Pench
Fly to Nagpur and transfer to your lodge in Pench National Park.
Day 4 Pench
Early start and the first chance to spot the elusive tiger. Keep your eyes peeled for the fantastic array of birds that live in the jungle. Back at camp relax over lunch before heading out once again to explore the reserve.
Day 5 Pench to Kanha
After a morning game drive head to Kanha National Park.
Day 6 Kanha
Morning and afternoon game drives, looking for leopard, sloth bear, wild dogs and even wolves.
Day 7 Kanha to Bandhavgarh
An early start with another chance to spot the mighty tiger then drive through the heart of rural India to Bandhavgarh National Park. In the evening sit back and relax at your jungle camp.
Day 8 Bandhavgarh
As one of India’s most densely populated tiger reserves Bandhavgarh offers a good chance of seeing a tiger. Morning and afternoon game drives into the heart of the jungle with all of its sounds and incredible sights.
Day 9 Bandhavgarh to Agra
After a morning game drive leave the jungles of central India via Umaria where you catch the overnight train to Agra. Travelling in 2nd class 'aircon' sleeper (the best available), the train is an ideal way to meet real Indians and see some local colour.
Day 10 Agra
The Taj Mahal is brought to life by the story behind it so enjoy the sense of history, romance and wonder at the stunning setting. Afterwards visit the Agra Fort.
Day 11 Agra to Jaipur
Head towards the deserts of Rajasthan. En route visit Fatehpur Sikri, a deserted city dating from the 16th Century. Jaipur is a vibrant city and it is well worth heading out to explore in the evening.
Day 12 Jaipur
Enjoy an elephant ride up to the Amber Fort above Jaipur. The spectacular yellow building contrasts brilliantly with the azure sky. Discover Jaipur’s historical treasures with a city tour.
Day 13 Jaipur to Delhi
Return to Delhi to enjoy the shopping, culture and great restaurants and bars.
Day 14 Delhi
A private airport transfer will be provided so you can connect to your next destination.
