Itinerary

Days 1 & 2 Christchurch & Southern Alps
On arrival transfer to your hotel. Next day travel by
jet boat into the Southern Alps to otherwise
inaccessible areas. Enjoy a 4 wheel drive tour before
returning aboard the TranzAlpine train.

Days 3 & 4 Hanmer Springs, Kaikoura & Nelson
Travel to the picturesque village of Hanmer Springs
and relax in the thermal pools. In Kaikoura enjoy a
Whale Watch tour where you may encounter giant
sperm whales and pods of dusky dolphins. In season,
you may also see migrating humpbacks and southern
right whales. Continue to Nelson.

Day 5 Abel Tasman National Park
Today choose from a number of included Cruise &
Walk or Cruise only options in Abel Tasman National
Maritime Park.

Days 6 & 7 Punakaiki Rocks, West Coast Glaciers
Travel through the beautiful Nelson Lakes region to
Punakaiki. Marvel at the bizarre limestone landscapes
of the Pancake Rocks & Blowhole. Journey down the
rugged West Coast to the glacier village of Franz Josef.

Days 8 & 9 Haast Pass to Queenstown
View incredible scenery as you pass the untouched
native forests and pristine lakes of World Heritage
Westland National Park. The next day is free to
explore Queenstown.

Day 10 Milford Sound Overnight Nature Cruise
Board the Milford Mariner for a relaxing cruise of the
Sound to the Tasman Sea. View spectacular waterfalls,
mountains & wildlife. Activities include kayaking and
excursions to explore the coastline.

Days 11 & 12 Queenstown
Upon returning the rest of the day is free. The next
day join the Dart River Safari and jet boat on crystal
clear waters in scenic Mt. Aspiring National Park.

Days 13 & 14 Rotorua & White Island Volcano
Fly north to Rotorua to peer into massive volcanic
craters, see boiling mud & exploding geysers. Enjoy
a traditional Maori hangi (feast) and cultural evening.
Next day enjoy a helicopter flight to White Island,
New Zealand’s only active marine volcano.

Day 15 Bay of Plenty, Coromandel Peninsula
Travel north to Pauanui on the the Coromandel
Peninsula.

Days 16 - 18 Auckland
Enjoy a sightseeing tour of Auckland. Next day, you
can take the helm of an original America’s Cup racing
yacht or simply relax and enjoy the scenery as you sail
down the Auckland Harbour.
