Itinerary


Days 1 & 2 Auckland & Coromandel Peninsula
On arrival transfer to your hotel. The next day, travel to the Coromandel Peninsula and ride the Driving Creek Railway to a fascinating artist’s colony.

Days 3 & 4 Rotorua & Lake Tarawera
Travel along the Bay of Plenty before heading to Rotorua. Enjoy a twilight cruise across Lake Rotoiti before a lakeside dinner. The next day enjoy spectacular scenery as you cruise across Lake Tarawera then soak in thermal waters at Hot Water Beach and visit the Blue & Green Lakes.

Days 5 & 6 Lake Taupo & Napier
Visit Wai-O-Tapu, a wonderland of geothermal activity. At Napier, enjoy a guided walk of this Art Déco city before a free day to explore this beautiful region, home to some of New Zealand’s best wineries.

Day 7 Wairarapa to Wellington
Head to Wellington, stopping at the National Wildlife Centre, with the finest collection of native birds.

Days 8 & 9 Marlborough Sounds
Morning at leisure, then cruise across Cook Strait to Picton and transfer by water taxi to your resort in the stunning Kenepuru Sound. Enjoy a full day exploring the magic of the Marlborough Sounds.

Days 10 & 11 Christchurch & West Coast Glaciers
Travel to the garden city of Christchurch and board the TranzAlpine train for a spectacular journey through the Southern Alps. Continue to Franz Josef & Fox Glaciers.

Days 12 - 15 Haast to Queeenstown
View incredible scenery as you pass the untouched native forests & pristine lakes of the Westland National Park. Enjoy 3 days in the magnificent alpine resort of Queenstown; optional activities include day tours & overnight cruises to Milford & Doubtful Sounds.

Day 16 Arrowtown, Mt Cook National Park
Stroll around Arrowtown village then head to the breathtaking alpine scenery of World Heritage listed Mt Cook National Park.

Days 17 & 18 Tasman Glacier & Christchurch
Experience the Tasman Glacier Terminal Lake seeing icebergs close up and even touching them on a unique tour. Later, return to Christchurch via Lake Tekapo for your last night.
