Day 1
Arrive Moscow.
Days 2 - 8
Settle into life aboard, enjoying the company of fellow travellers and the stunning scenery. Pass over the Ural mountains which divide Europe & Asia & cross the Irtysh & Ob rivers. Continue through Irkutsk & catch a glimpse of stunning Lake Baikal from the train window. Classic scenes of traditional nomadic life greet you as the train winds impressively across the Mongolian Steppe. After Ulaanbaatar the scenery changes dramatically as you enter the desolate Gobi desert. At the Chinese border the train's bogies are changed from the wider gauge used by Russia & Mongolia to a narrower Chinese gauge. The last day has arrived too soon and your legendary rail adventure is complete upon arrival in Beijing.
