Day 1 Hanoi
Transfer on arrival to your Hanoi hotel with the rest of the day at leisure.
Day 2 Halong Bay & Haiphong
Drive to Halong Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and enjoy lunch as you cruise leisurely amongst the towering rock formations of this breathtaking bay. Overnight in Haiphong.
Day 3 Hanoi
Visit Haiphong’s opera house, Du Hang Pagoda and the Kenh Community before returning to Hanoi for a city tour and a performance of the traditional Vietnamese art of water puppetry.
Day 4 Hué
Fly to the former royal city of Hué, home to the 13 ruling Nguyen dynasties. Visit the Imperial Citadel and Forbidden City and, if time permits, a colourful local market.
Day 5 Hué to Hoi An
Enjoy a cruise along the Perfume River to Thien Mu Pagoda and continue to the royal tombs of Tu Duc and Khai Dinh. After lunch at a local restaurant, head south for charming Hoi An enjoying wonderful views as you drive over the spectacular Hai Van Pass.
Day 6 Hoi An
Visit a boat builders’ yard, woodcarvers and pottery village before exploring the historic centre of charming Hoi An. Following lunch, drive to Danang with a stop to explore the grottoes and temples of the Marble Mountains. Visit Cham Museum before an onward flight to Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 7 Ho Chi Minh City
Drive to Cu Chi province to explore the amazing tunnel complex at Cu Chi. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before driving back to Ho Chi Minh City for a city tour including stops at Notre Dame Cathedral, the former Presidental Palace and Ben Thanh central market.
Day 8 Ho Chi Minh City to Vinh Long
Drive to Cai Be and explore its bustling floating market by boat before a visit to a local handicraft village. After lunch, continue by boat along the narrow canals to get an insight into everyday life in the delta. The night is spent in a simple, local homestay.
Day 9 Vinh Long to Can Tho
Enjoy an early morning stroll through the village before a boat trip to some local potteries and Vinh Long market. Drive to Can Tho enjoying a visit to Bang Lang Stork Sanctuary en route.
Day 10 Mekong Delta to Ho Chi Minh City
Enjoy an early morning visit to Cai Rang floating market before returning by car to Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 11 Ho Chi Minh City
Enjoy time at leisure before transferring to the airport for your onward flight.
